What I'll Be Doing

I already wrote this section, but for some reason it didn't post it. Stupid Internet. Anyways, I just wanted to describe what I'll be doing for the next two years of my life, and why I am creating this site. I accepted a two-year job with Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. This is the Fraternity I was a member with at Iowa State. My official job title is Traveling Consultant. I will be traveling from campus to campus in the Northeast states and parts of Canada where there are Phi Delt chapters to help them with operations, programming, and reporting the status of each individual chapter back to the National Headquarters. It should be a great job, and it will allow me to see many parts of the nation, meet people of many different sorts and backgrounds, give back to an organization that has given me so much, and also make a little cash. So if anyone knows of anything really great to see in Northern Ohio, Pennslyvania, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Connecticut, Manitoba, or Michigan, let me know. This website will be a good way for all of you to see where I am going and to keep in touch with me.

The Big Move

Today began the process of my big move from the great city of Ames to Oxford, Ohio. This move should be very interesting, because it will take me over a week. Today I packed up my belongings and moved them back to Dodgetown. Tomorrow, I will decide what things (1 carload full) I will need for two years of my life. So it should be a fun day. On Tuesday I will be leaving Fort Dodge to travel to Kansas City, where I will be staying with Brad Becker. I have to go here, because on Wednesday I fly out to Marina del Rey, California for this years Phi Delta Theta General Convention. The convention goes from Thursday-Sunday. Sunday, I will fly back to Kansas City, pick up the trusty car and continue to drive to Ohio. Moving out of Ames was pretty emotional, because in four years it has become home to me. Leaving a girlfriend, my best friends, and my number one guinea pig, Squeeks, is definitely tough, but they all know that they will be hearing a lot from me, because I'll have countless hours on the road. So Ames, I love you, I'm a Cyclone at heart, and always will be!
