Whoever Thought To Put A University Next to a Lake

After a long inconvient flight from Columbus to Chicago to Madison, Wisconsin, I made it to my hotel at 2:00 am last night. I was supposed to arrive at 10:00 pm, so I was in a real good mood. The nice hotel that I got on priceline for a great price was only a place to sleep for me. I'll be in Madison, Wisconsin at the University of Wisconsin for a week to work with the interest group. Brendan, another consultant, will be joining me. His mom works for Marriott, so we get great rates at really nice hotels.

Madison is a beautiful campus and probably much more enjoyable when it's warm. I went to check out the lake, which is right next to campus, and turned around after I walked out from the shelter of a building. I'm only a state away from home, but my god, it's cold. Can't wait to go to Canada! State Street is amazing here in Wisconsin, and now I see why people come here to party during Halloween. It's like Welch Avenue extended by about 2 miles with many more restaurants, bars, stores. Well, it's not like Welch at all, sorry for even comparing it. Brendan and I will be going to Milwaukee this Friday to go to a Buck/Pistons NBA game, and to spend our Saturday in the city.
